This policy explains what CamFancy collects when you use camfancy.com, why, and what you can do about it. The Site has no accounts: we never ask for your name, email address or payment details, and we do not sell personal information.
What we collect
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the Site is used: the pages you visit, how you reached them, your approximate location, your device and browser, and when you visit. Google processes your IP address to provide the service and, according to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store it.
- Preferences. The Site remembers your grid layout and your feed filters in two cookies of its own, so the front page looks the way you left it. They hold no personal information.
- Server logs. Like every web server, ours records technical details of each request — IP address, browser, the page asked for and the time — to keep the Site running and secure. Logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Cookies
- _ga and _ga_<ID> — Google Analytics: tell visits and visitors apart; kept for up to two years unless you delete them.
- feed_filters and feed_settings — the Site's own preferences; they end when you close your browser.
Platforms whose players or pictures appear on the Site, or whose sites you visit through our links, may set cookies of their own under their own policies.
Why
Analytics shows us which pages people use and where the Site falls short, so we can improve it; the preference cookies make the Site work the way you set it; logs keep it running and secure. We rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the Site, and you can refuse analytics at any time, as described below.
Who else sees it
Analytics data is processed by Google as our service provider, and may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. We share personal information with no one else, unless the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and turn Google Analytics off on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Depending on where you live — in the European Union or California, for example — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you and to object to its processing. We hold no account data, so analytics records are the only information about you we could act on; write to us and we will help as far as we can identify them.
Children
The Site is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version.
